Tab Toggle – Reference Tab

Tab Toggle (“the Extension”) is a Chrome browser extension that lets you set one tab as a reference tab and quickly switch to it using keyboard shortcuts.

Data Collection

Tab Toggle does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

The Extension only stores the following information locally on your device:

• The ID of the tab you choose as your reference
• The title of that tab
• The URL of that tab
• The favicon of that tab (if available)

This data is saved using Chrome’s local storage (chrome.storage.local) and never leaves your computer.

No Tracking or Analytics

The Extension does not use any analytics, tracking, advertising, or third-party services. No data is sent to any remote server.

Permissions

The Extension requests the following permissions solely to provide its core functionality:

• tabs – to identify and switch between tabs
• storage – to remember your reference tab after Chrome restarts
• activeTab – to access the current tab when you use a shortcut or the popup
• scripting – to briefly show a confirmation message on the page when you set or clear a reference

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties because we do not collect any data that leaves your device.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the new version will be posted at this same URL with an updated date.
